CLIENT: La Boîte C
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
La Boite C is a roofing company launched by two young entrepreneurs in Montréal, Canada.
CHALLENGE:
There is a lot of competition in the roofing industry, especially in a big city like Montréal. However, it is easily becoming a nightmare to work with construction workers that are not customer-oriented. The objective was to bring a different approach to the industry, by offering a better experience that distinguishes La Boite C from others.
SOLUTION:
Simplify the experience. Build trust. By creating a professional looking brand, icons and graphics explaining the process step-by-step to the client , with multiple visuals to understand how a roof is built and what are the important factors to consider.
GOALS & STRATEGY
Roofing companies are often stressing out the customer with complicated sales pitches and broken promises. La Boite C made a priority to walk the customer through the roofing process with complete transparence.
The main goal was to make the whole experience more simple and professional for the customers. Most of the time, they don’t really know anything about the process of replacing or making repairs to their roof. This is why we created icons and self-explanatory graphics to illustrate the work process step-by-step. All the marketing material have been designed with a better customer understanding in mind.
On the website we designed an online module allowing the potential customer to get an instant quote for his roofing project.
Another big struggle is to retain employees. In the construction industry, workers don’t show up on time, or don’t show up at all without notice. They unfortunately don’t hesitate to quit for working with the competition if they offer better pay or benefits. At La Boite C, we want the employee to be valued for his work and rewarded for a stellar conduct and performance. To complement the outstanding advantages La Boite C is offering, I have designed a beautiful and detailed employee guide, giving to each new hire all the information they need; values and mission, benefits, growth opportunity within the company. We also created hats, shirts, water bottles and other merch to have them feel welcome and growing a sense of belonging. Without mentioning that it make the whole company look way more professional on the construction site.
RESULTS
La Boite C has experienced a major sales growth: From $0 in 2013 to $2 000 000+ in 2019.
They started with 2 employees and they have now a full 25+ team. They have worked with more than 1 300 clients as of 2019.
When asked about their success, the owners of La Boite C pointed out that interesting fact:
“ 5% of our clients chose us because of our price. The other 95% chose us because of our professionalism (thanks to our sales tools and brand identity)! ”
